The Loveable Rogue East End is the Dennistoun branch of Joe and Amalia Lazzerini's independent Glasgow gastropub group, at 10 Whitehill Street in the former Beat 6 unit. It opened on 4 December 2022 as a 35-cover spot with an open kitchen, exposed brick and beams, and a menu built around brunch, hearty mains and the group's Sunday roast. At opening, head chef Joe Lazzerini pitched classic breakfast and brunch dishes alongside Rogue's usual fare, with the signature Sunday roast served all day every Sunday. Diners and press have repeatedly highlighted that roast (Speyside beef, Yorkshire puddings, beef-fat roasties, brisket mac and cheese), plus steak frites and a warm, neighbourhood feel. The group's Sunday roast later made The Good Food Guide's Best 50 Sunday Roasts list, with East End counted among the venues at the time. As of this research, the official site's homepage and location list only name West End (333 Great Western Road) and Southside (122–124 Nithsdale Road); East End booking and venue pages return 404, and Apple Maps marks the Whitehill Street listing permanently closed. Reviews into late 2025 and a January 2026 Glasgow Foodie piece still referred to The Loveable Rogue at this address (including The Clucking Rogue fried-chicken pop-up), so check current status and hours before you go. Nearest rail is Duke Street station, roughly a five-minute walk.
My first Sunday roast, but the (local) family sitting next to me says it’s one of the best in the entire country… It was a lovely meal and a great experience at the lovable rogue… Mac & Cheese w/brisket was a standout. Thanks to andrew for great service!

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with stylish decor that added to the charm of the place. The staff were incredibly attentive. The highlight was definitely the food—everything was cooked to perfection! I had the Sunday roast dinner, and it was absolutely delicious, with tender meat, perfectly roasted vegetables, and all the right trimmings. It was one of the best roasts I've had in a long time. If you’re looking for excellent food, great service, and a cozy atmosphere, The Lovable Rogue is a must-visit!
Read on Google MapsNice place. We opted for steak fries (medium rare). Steak was definitely rare. It was reasonable given the £12 price tag. The peppercorn sauce was really good a d the side of Mac n cheese with ndjua was also very good. All in all not bad.

Read on Google MapsWe visited The Loveable Rogue for the Sunday Roast for two, based on a recommendation. Despite booking early to avoid a window seat, we were seated by the window due to the booking system. The food, particularly the Yorkshire pudding and beef with gravy, was excellent and well-cooked, though the pricing felt a bit steep for two courses. While there was some confusion with seating, it didn’t detract from the overall experience. A delicious meal we’d recommend, though with hopes for smoother/preferred seating next time.
