I recently tried KFC’s new **Double Down**, and it was a deliciously indulgent experience. Instead of a bun, it features two crispy, juicy chicken fillets sandwiching layers of cheese and sauce—making it a treat for true chicken lovers. The flavors were bold, the chicken was perfectly seasoned, and the overall taste was rich and satisfying. The portion size was good, making it a filling and satisfying meal. If you love crispy fried chicken and don’t mind skipping the bun, this is definitely worth trying. A great option for a hearty, protein-packed bite!

The interior decor of KFC branches has steadily improved in recent years. Feels a lot more premium these days. More of a dine in atmosphere. However the prices have also been increasing and it’s a tough ask in terms of bang for your buck. You’re looking around £9/10 for a chicken burger meal which is a healthy outlay for somewhat unhealthy fast food. The food quality on my visit was pretty good. Portion size less so. There are decent offers in the app but it’s a lot harder to justify a KFC in 2023 unless you are going for a treat.

Terrible customer service - no decency at all. As a driver I went to use the toilet and was fronted with access only allowed by a pin. After asking politely to staff if they could share the pin their response was “you can only go in if you order something or are a customer” which is extremely frustrating and intolerable. The managers name was Jade. Who has set a terrible example of the KFC brand and customer service reputation for a satisfactory experience.

Jonathon was very helpful and took our tray away for us. He is kept busy cleaning the tables and keeping the place tidy.

Missed the box to order, went to the window and the girl said she couldn’t take my order. Said I’d need to drive back round. I asked if she could take my order and she just said no. Very poor customer service in my opinion. I’ve added things on to my Order so don’t understand why she couldn’t just put the meal through for me. This just happened at 1:45pm on the 10/08/2025.
