Overview
Greek Street Yeeros is an Athens-style gyros stall at Unit 1, 25 Kent Street, on the Barras / Calton edge of the East End. Founder Yorgos (trained as an architect) runs pork, chicken and lamb gyros with Greek sauces, oregano fries and rotating specials — including vegan gyros when available. The List called it one of the few Barras food traders that stays open into the evening, with thick wraps and crunchy meat. Google hours often show Saturday–Sunday only (about 11:00–21:00); confirm on Instagram (@greekstreetyeeros / @greek_street_yeeros) or by phone 07940 017193 before making a midweek trip. Press in 2025 also named them for a Clydeside Containers pitch. Handy before a Barrowland gig. Food hygiene Pass (Glasgow City, inspected 6 February 2026).

Came here for a quick scran before a gig at the barrowlands. Friendly helpful staff and top quality food. The chicken gyros was so full of flavour and the bread was nice and fluffy as you would expect. Honestly can't fault it 👌🏼👌🏼

I've passed by this place loads but never went. Partly because I assumed it would be just another poor imitation, and I'm a 'souvlaki' snob. However... today I dropped by for a pork gyro and glad I did. The pitta was generously loaded up with perfectly cooked and marinated meat. Definitely the best gyro I've had outside of Greece, and better than many that I've inside of Greece as well. Definitely worth trying out. I'll be back...

The owner is absolutely charming. He's great fun to talk to and makes an excellent gyro at a good price. The kitchen was spotless even though there was heavy traffic.
