Andy's Fish & Chicken Bar

Very friendly staff. Traditional fish and chips made fresh, best fish I've had in a long time. Daughter ordered milkshake, she said it was the best milkshake she'd had and wanted to go back for another. Would definitely recommend this fish and chip shop, they don't make them like this anymore.

Mario and Joanne are some pair. Always very polite and genuine people. Always gave my boy when we lived across the road anything he wanted whether it was chips, juice or sweets. The best chippy around.

Was driving in the area with my daughter and noticed the shop and it being early evening decided to stop and get some food. On entering the shop the interior look took me back 40 odd years and memories of how a lot of chippys looked back then. A few customers already in and I was greeted by a pleasant fella behind the range who I soon learned was the owner Mario who took our order after deciding on fish suppers, which I was surprised to see were much cheaper than the 2 chip shops in my area in the sticks. The wait for the food wasn't too long, 15mins maybe. My daughter spotted the ice-cream milkshake offer and wanted one, so a little wait for that to be made then we were off to sit and eat in the car. Suppers were piping hot, two large pieces of fish and substantial portion of chips. Long story short, tasty food, great price, nothing to fault and I would go back again, oh and daughter loved the milkshake....her words were super tasty.

This traditional italian chip shop serves up suppers of the highest quality. Every single meal has been faultless. Its hard to see past their chicken or fish suppers but everything is cooked well and perfectly battered. If you are passing by and considering going in, just do it, you won't be disappointed. The staff are always there to greet you with a smile and nothing is a hassle. Absolutely top notch.

I am sorry to have to give this rating but felt that strongly about it. I waited for 30 minutes for a couple of fish suppers. Fine I get that it can be busy and would accept that if it weren’t for the people walking in long after I had ordered, placing an order and leaving way before me. It seems like if you know the guy then your food is made quicker. So I finally got my order and a half hearted apology for my wait. Got home and the fish was full of bones. Did I say I had gone there to support a local business rather than order online which I know is good quality?!! You know what it’s not the first time I’ve gone here but will absolutely be the last!
